Stephanie Karlovits

Health and Wellness Specialist

Stephanie grew up in the rink.  Early morning practices, off-ice before and after school and competitions out of town were regular things for her for 18 years as a competitive figure skater.  With a background in Olympic lifting, figure skating, track, gymnastics and swimming, Karlovits brings a lot to the table from an athlete’s perspective.  Now, she owns a fitness facility in Ottawa called EPIC Fitness and is also a Director for a fitness professional conference called MOVE.  She has been a professional working in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, Yoga instructor, Coach and fitness department manager for over 12 years and is considered an expert in her field.  Her strengths are athletic performance, restorative care, nutrition and trainer development.  She is also very active in the Ottawa community, involving herself and her staff in volunteering aspects in support of the Sens Foundation, the Ovarian Cancer Foundation, the Children’s Breakfast Program, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Power of Movement and many more.  For her own personal fitness she trains at her own facility regularly and most recently successfully summited the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania Africa.  Her climb was in support of the Children’s Breakfast Program in which she raised $5,000 for.   The thing that drives Karlovits most is helping individuals, young and mature, to find balance, to learn about themselves physically, emotionally and psychologically so they can live their potential.  For more info and to connect with Stephanie follow her on twitter: @karlovits1
