Guest Coaches
Each year, Hit The Ice invites professional trainers and athletes, including NHL players, to meet with the boys and help them improve by sharing their knowledge of the game, their athletic expertise and their life experience. These encounters with pros and trainers are something that HTI players and viewers alike await with relish each year.
Cody McCormick
Former NHL pro
Born in London, Ontario, in 1983, Cody McCormick is a First Nations athlete and NHL player whose professional career spanned 2003 to 2015. After an impressive run in the minor leagues, he signed in the National Hockey League, where he played centre and right wing for the Colorado Avalanche, the Buffalo Sabres and the Minnesota Wild.
