Guest Coaches
Each year, Hit The Ice invites professional trainers and athletes, including NHL players, to meet with the boys and help them improve by sharing their knowledge of the game, their athletic expertise and their life experience. These encounters with pros and trainers are something that HTI players and viewers alike await with relish each year.
R.T. Rice
R.T. Rice is a young hockey player who’s hungry for bigger things. His desire to be a pro is unmatched and his path to the NHL is unlike any other player’s. In the past, the Hit the Ice alumnus was told countless times he was not strong enough, fast enough, or good enough to make it. But this past season, he proved everyone wrong when he received an invitation from the Vancouver Canucks to attend his first-ever NHL development camp. R.T.’s story is one of hope and perseverance that is sure to inspire all young players.
