What is the “Hit The Ice”?

Hit The Ice is a multiplatform project which consists of a television show and a website which will see the top twenty Aboriginal players, aged 15 to 18 years old, experience the rigors of a professional training camp. Throughout the camp, these prospects will be put to the test and they will gain valuable experience as they get ready for their on ice audition in front of many junior scouts from Canada and the United States.

Under the tutelage of former NHL player and Coach, John Chabot and help from different current NHL pros, our young prospects will get a taste of what it truly takes to take their game to the next level.

What is the target audience for “Hit The Ice”?

In large, Hit The Ice will appeal to anyone that has an interest in hockey, no matter what level or age.

Who has made “Hit The Ice” possible?

Hit The Ice has been made possible thanks to the financial contributions from two main partners, the Canadian Media Fund and the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network.

When will the show be broadcasted?

The series Hit The Ice 7 will be on air in 2019.
