The Players

Hit The Ice season 7 regroups Canada’s most talented young Indigenous female hockey players and invites them to participate in a 2-week training camp that is a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to get recruited by a University team. The group will make lifelong friends, work harder than ever before, and meet professional coaches as well as current and former Olympic players.

Date of birth: December 14th, 1995

Phaneuf is Métis from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.  The sturdy goaltender is one of the few returning players from the 2012 Hit The Ice roster. Following last year’s camp he went on to play with the Beardy’s Blackhawks in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA League.  Phaneuf is best known for his work ethic, his stance, his size and of course, his ability to stop the puck!
