Jan Cote

Assistant Coach

Jan has been involved in hockey for most of his life and played competitive hockey up until his Junior A career. He remains active as a player in various recreation leagues and competitive teams taking part in Aboriginal senior tournaments.

His coaching experiences are varied and extensive taking part in coaching minor hockey in Quebec. He is a certified Master Coach and a certified Hockey Coach Instructor with Hockey Quebec. He has also been an instructor at a variety of hockey schools across Canada and has ran power skating camps. Jan continues to take pride in teaching Aboriginal children as a physical education instructor, a position which he’s been active in for the last 15 years.

During the summer he helps organize a charity golf tournament for kids & sports as well as started a summer sports camp and founded the Kitigan Zibi Canoe and Kayak Club.
