Each year, Hit The Ice invites professional trainers and athletes, including NHL players, to meet with the boys and help them improve by sharing their knowledge of the game, their athletic expertise and their life experience. These encounters with pros and trainers are something that HTI players and viewers alike await with relish each year.
Olivier Trudel
Mental Preperation Coach
Dr. Olivier Trudel holds a doctorat in physical education with a specialization in sport psychology. His research is primarily based on elite athlete mental preparation and on cyclical mental preparation for high level athletes. Trudel is also a professor at the Université de Montréal where he teaches all aspects of mental intervention in a sport setting and the importance of mental preparation. In addition, Olivier Trudel is hired by the Institut national du sport du Quebec (Quebec's National Sports Institute) as a trainer and a sport psychology consultant for high performance athletes and coaches.
