The Players

Hit The Ice season 7 regroups Canada’s most talented young Indigenous female hockey players and invites them to participate in a 2-week training camp that is a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to get recruited by a University team. The group will make lifelong friends, work harder than ever before, and meet professional coaches as well as current and former Olympic players.

Alberta native Lane Lightning hasn’t had it easy in his life. For him, hockey means the world, and he is determined to show his generation that the dream of playing professionally is as real for First Nations as it is for other Canadians. On the ice, Lightning is a competitive, talented forward and an unbeatable chirper. An accomplished comedian, he has no problems finding in a place in his teammates’ hearts when the game is over.
